DPT File No. UD-115:  4-cu.yd. Floating Clamshell Dredge – This luffing-jib-type floating clamshell dredge was originally manufactured in 1976 by Atlas Manufacturing Company of Romulus, Michigan.  It is now being completely re-manufactured by DMC.  This machine dredges and processes sand and gravel, then transports the material to shore on floating conveyors.  It is presently configured to work at depths up to 70 ft.  The P&H draw works hoist and lower the 4-cu.yd electro-hydraulic bucket at 230 ft/min.  Timed cycle at 45-ft depth is 1 minute, 45 seconds, resulting in a production rate of 220 cu.yd/hr.  Call DMC for additional details.

 

DPT File No. UD-289:  10" AMMCO Ladder-Pump Dredge – This is a mid-1980s propane powered AMMCO Model PD-10-UD dredge with very low operating hours.  The underwater, ladder-mounted 10x12 Thomas dredge pump is powered by a Caterpillar model G379 TA-HCR natural gas engine, rated at 465 hp at 1200 rpm continuous.  The auxiliary engine is a Cat model 3306 TA-LCR engine, also natural gas powered, rated 195 hp continuous at 1800 rpm.  The 57-ft long ladder is supported by a catamaran-style hull, consisting of two 70' x 8' x 5' pontoons, with a 27' x 10' x 8' transverse mounted machinery section.  Located in Ohio.

 

DPT File No. UD-307:  New 10" DMC Model HPC-250 – DMC's MSP Sandpiper Series is designed for optimal portability in a standard-duty dredging machine.  The one-piece hull eliminates most of the labor usually associated with portable dredge mob/demob activities.  The primary plant includes a 12x10 GIW LSA 30 heavy duty dredge pump, powered by a 360-hp (continuous) Cat 3406 diesel engine.  Hull dimensions are 35' x 14' x 4', with 28' ladder assembly.  Call DMC for consultation and further details.

 

DPT File No. UD-325:  12" DMC-Refurbished Ellicott Dredge – Here is another solid Ellicott machine now being refurbished by DMC.  This one will be equipped with very low hour or rebuilt 16-cylinder GM diesel power and 14x12 GIW LSA36 pump.  Assembled hull dimensions are 44' x 18' x 4.5', supporting a 36' ladder with DMC Hydra-Drive cutter system.  A brand new cabin and controls will be installed.  This dredge can be delivered in 3-4 months, and can be inspected at DMC's workshop in Tennessee. 

 

DPT File No. UD-328:  12" Refurbished Ellicott Series 600 Bucket-Wheel Dredge – 1974 year model dredge, recently acquired by DMC for refurbishing and resale.  The 12" Ellicott pump is powered by a 480-hp Caterpillar D-346 main diesel engine, with Cat 3306 auxiliary for hydraulic systems, including Ellicott model WE87 bucket wheel cutter.  Working depth is 20 ft.  Three-piece hull transports in 5 legal loads; assembled dimensions: 44.5' x 21' x 4'6".  Completely refurbished, including new hull side pontoons.  Featured DMC Special in this group.

 

DPT File No. UD-335:  14" Ellicott Series 770-E Electric-Powered Dredge – A very nice machine if electric power is desired.  The 14" Ellicott dredge pump is powered by a 500-hp, 2300-V main motor (a spare motor is included), with 200-hp auxiliary.  The dredge has just been fitted with new hydraulic winches and new hull side pontoons.  Assembled dimensions are 56' x 26' x 4.5', with a 67' ladder.  The owner is an aggregate producer in Georgia, who has kept this machine well-maintained.
