DPT File No. UD-316:  24” Ellicott Series 3000 Dredge – Heavy-duty “Super Dragon” model, features a 24” Ellicott pump with twin Cat D-399 diesels (2250 hp total).  Auxiliary power is provided by a Cat D-398 (850 hp) for all hydraulic functions including cutter drive, and a Cat D-333/155-kw genset for electrical power.  Assembled hull measures 116’ x 36’ x 8’; ladder is 74’ long.  The owner reports typical production of 1300 yd³ (1000 m³) per hour.  There are several separately priced components available in this package, including a walking spud assembly mounted on an 87’ idler barge coupled astern the main hull.  The spud carriage allows 16’8” forward travel without resetting anchors.  The idler barge also houses a 2000-hp 24" booster station.  A 26" steel pipeline package is also available, as well as an impressive selection of support equipment including  tender boats, a 20" dewatering pump, fuel barge, pipeline winch barges, etc.  Serious prospects are encouraged to call DMC to arrange inspection in British Columbia.  Asking price (for the dredge only): Price Group K.

 

DPT File No. UD-326:  22" Remanufactured DMC Model HPC-550 Dredge – An excellent 22" dredge built on a totally renovated Ellicott 1000 hull.  The pump is a 24x22-72 Mobile Pulley dredge pump, powered by a Caterpillar model 3512B diesel engine, with Cat 3412 diesel auxiliary engine for hydraulics and AC generator power.  The exclusive Ellicott 5-drum winch provides hauling and hoisting functions.  Total assembled hull dimensions are 80' x 26' x 5.5' with a 54' ladder allowing 46 ft maximum dredging depth.  This is a spacious, well-designed dredging machine.  The rebuilding process is underway, utilizing a combination of new and remanufactured machinery components.  Completion is scheduled for 4-6 months after receipt of order, at DMC's Tennessee workshop.
